Casey Edgar has spent most of his life with a guitar in his hands.

For more than a decade, he made his living playing the bars and honky-tonks of Nashville’s Lower Broadway—night after night, song after song, learning how to hold a room and discovering what kind of artist he wanted to be along the way.

These days, the music looks a little different.

Casey’s songs live somewhere between Americana, folk, blues and roots rock—built around honest lyrics, worn-in guitars and stories about family, fatherhood, loss, faith, getting older and trying to make sense of the miles behind you.

After losing his father, songwriter and mentor Gary Edgar Smalley, in 2022, songwriting took on a different meaning. What once felt like chasing a career became a way of holding onto memories, telling the truth and leaving something behind.

Now based in Indiana with his partner and son, Casey is entering a new chapter—less interested in chasing whatever is popular and more interested in making songs that actually mean something.
